Welcoming Baby Girl: A Cozy At-Home Session with Taylor, Robert & Their Party of Five
There’s something uniquely special about photographing a family over the years — watching them grow, evolve, and settle into new chapters with grace and love. Taylor and Robert are long-time clients who feel more like friends at this point, and I’ve had the joy of documenting many of their biggest moments. This most recent session felt like the sweetest full-circle moment: welcoming their newest baby girl, and capturing life as a family of five — right in the heart of their new home.
From the moment I stepped into their cozy space, I could feel the love. There’s a gentle, lived-in warmth to a house where little feet run freely, toys peek out from under couches, and tiny giggles echo down the hallway. Taylor greeted me with her signature calm energy (seriously, she makes motherhood look effortless), while Robert — ever the proud dad — sat on the floor with he older two playing.
The star of this session, of course, was their newest addition. Dressed in soft knits and cradled by doting arms, she’s already nestled perfectly into her role as the baby of the family.
We kept things natural and relaxed, letting moments unfold as they would on any other day. Snuggles on the bed. Quiet glances between parents. A toddler escape attempt mid-photo (because what’s realer than that?). There’s a kind of magic in lifestyle sessions like these — a celebration of the ordinary, which is actually extraordinary in the context of family life.
